What Can We Do With Them?
They help to give us shade on sunny days, then, they become colorful and fall. They’re fun to jump in … tiresome to rake … but what can you do with them?
How about recycling leaves?
Ditch the rake and mow the leaves. That will break them up into small pieces that will quickly decompose and become an excellent natural fertilizer for your lawn.
You can also use the shredded leaves as mulch. Simply put a two to six inch layer of leaves in flower beds, veggie garden, under trees and shrubs, or in your container garden.
Or, gather some pretty fall leaves and create a center piece.
Whatever you do, please don’t burn them. They’re a great natural resource for helping you to create a beautiful yard year round.
