We found that the B105.7 family feels just as strongly about having wings while watching the Super Bowl as they do about having turkey on Thanksgiving! Here's The Food, Desserts and Drinks we Can't do Without on Game Day:
WINGS! Which I will get carry out from Keystone Sports Review... theirs are some of the best in the city.
This taco dip my aunt always makes:
1 brick of cream cheese
1 pint of sour cream
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 jar of taco sauce (not salsa)
1- 8 oz package shredded cheddar cheese
Blend the 1st 3 ingredients and spread in the bottom of an 8x8 pan, pour and spread taco sauce over that picture, top with bag of cheese. Enjoy with tortilla chips
Gin & tonic. Using this local tonic elixir.
Celery dipped in the hot wings dip my daughter makes. Half healthy, half yummy sinfulness. For Dessert - dunked strawberries. Dip strawberries in sour cream then dip them into brown sugar and enjoy! And when no one's looking Grey Goose V mixed with coconut pineapple water ;)
There will be chips and salsa. Will that salsa be home made? Absolutely not. No time for such things.
There will be beer. This beer maybe in bottles or cans. Will it be a home brew? Absolutely not. No time for such things.
The rest of the menu will consist of unhealthy junk food. At least I hope so. I mean, it's the Super Bowl after all.
Gotta have Johnsonville Brats and can’t forget the Chicken Wings!
Bob Richards (Vice President of Programming):
- Perdue brand gluten free chicken strips. They taste much better than the regular “gluten bomb” chicken strips and they’re better for you :) Another is Hoody's Deep South Praline Pecans and white cheddar Skinny Pop! Be warned, they’re highly addictive.
Ann Richards (again):
That reminds me of the Honey, Butter Popcorn that I like to make. The bacon makes it a Super Bowl Party must-have. The only thing I'd change about this recipe is ... I would add a lot more bacon:
