Schizophrindiana: Song About Crazy Indiana Weather

Is this song offensive?

2 to 3 inches of snow on Easter, thunderstorms and near 70, then more snow and 30s. Oy!

I've played this song for years now poking fun at Indiana's wild weather, but a few listeners have said they think I'm poking fun at mental illness when I play it.  Oh gosh!  I'd never want to do that... my mother batttled mental illness and my uncle (who was like a father to me) took his own life right at a year ago... so, poking fun of or making light of that sort of thing would never be my intent.  Does intent matter?  I think so, but mabye I'm wrong. I have been before :)
