I began my radio career near my hometown of Belleville, IL, in St. Louis, when radio stations played these things called “records”! Remember those? Growing up, I think I always knew that I would be on the radio! I fell asleep to many Cardinal baseball games listening on my little transistor radio and would repeat almost everything a DJ would say on the air.
I was always the narrator in church plays, was active in theater and was never one to shy-away from a microphone. I attended Greenville College in Greenville, IL where my roommate and I did a show on the campus radio station every weeknight from 10pm-midnight. Man, we were bad! But, it impressed the girls! It began my journey in radio too, a journey that's taken me to Chicago, Baton Rouge, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Cincinnati and for 7 years here in Indy!
I guess the smartest decision of my life happened in 1987 when my wife Amy asked me to marry her. I accepted! (ha!). We have 4 wonderful kids and 3, ok 1 real dog and 2 fake dogs. The black lab is the real dog, the toy poodle and Chihuahua, not so much! We live in Franklin Township and absolutely love Indianapolis! I love playing softball, but these days, it hurts to play! Oh, and last year, my wife encouraged my to buy a motorcycle…not sure what that means? I am also known as a “cheapskate” around my house. I love saving money!
I look forward to becoming friends on the air and online on Facebook! Thanks for listening weekdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Soft Rock B105.7!
