We’ve dug up some of the best vacation spots in Indiana so you and your dog can have the best time together this summer!

The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park 

Indianapolis, IN

Explore wetlands, woodlands, and artwork at one of the largest museum art parks in the country. This 100 acre park includes a 35 acre lake and plenty of space for you and your pup to get fresh air while looking at some great artwork. Fresh air, a long walk, and unique artwork is something you and your dog will both enjoy!

Clay Terrace Mall & Dog Park 

Carmel, IN

In the shopping mood or need to grab a bite to eat? Stop by Clay Terrace where they offer many dog-friendly restaurants as well as shops. If your pup isn’t tired out form all the shopping, head over to the 423 square ft dog park, located behind Kona Grill. It has agility equipment and is free to the public. 

Indiana Dunes State Park

Chesterton, IN

Spend the day exploring nature trails and getting Indiana Dunes. You can explore many of the great hiking trails they have or head over to the dog-friendly beach. Play all day on the beach and stay for the gorgeous sunsets

Mid-American Windmill Museum

Kendallville, IN

Try something different by visiting a windmill museum. The Mid-American Windmill Museum houses over 40 restored windmills on 37 acres of land and includes a museum. Dogs are allowed both inside the museum and on the park grounds. If you’ve ever wanted a unique experience and picture opportunity with your pooch then the Windmill Museum is for you! 

16-Bit Bar+Arcade

Indianapolis, IN

Looking to mix up the typical bar scene? 16-Bit Bar + Arcade offers a wide variety of drinks as well as classic arcade games. Your furry friend can come along too since dogs are welcome inside any time of the day. While supplies lasts, they will receive a wag bag which includes treats and tennis ball for a fun game of catch.   

Marengo Cave

Marengo, IN

For all you nature lovers, bring your dog over to the Marengo Cave. If you have a small dog, they are welcome on the cave tours, just as long as you can carry them the entire time. All dogs are welcome to explore the park grounds. 

Eagle Creek Park

Indianpolis, IN

With 3,900 acres of land and 1,400 acts of water how could you and your dog not have a great time?! Eagle Creek welcomes dogs to their many hiking trails where you can bird watch and get right into nature. You may want to pack your pup a life jacket because you can also rent pedal boats and pontoon boats to go out with your dog onto the lake.

Garfield Park

Indianpolis, IN

A gorgeous flower-covered park complete with fountains and running space is the perfect place to bring your dog this summer. They often host gardening demonstrations and flower shows so it can be educational and a good time!

Hi I’m Daisy! I’m about two years old. I’m very, very smart! The only thing that moves faster than my tail is my brain!  I am a puzzle master and if I had thumbs, I could even pick a lock, I’m sure of it. I’m looking for someone who will let me work my noodle to its full potential! I can climb, jump, solve puzzles, run, play, and search for things in the smallest places. I have a ton of energy, I can go for miles, and I love exploring and unearthing new treasures. I’m basically an archaeologist. I am a little shy at first but going slow and giving me time we can be best buds. The most important thing to know about me is that I love belly rubs and will roll over for more. This playful boy has earned the title “the most handsome-est boy!” Bryant is currently receiving daily one-on-one love and attention from the professional staff and trainers at Paws & Play! They are providing him with everything he needs including daily exercise, socialization, and playtime. In addition, Bryant also has his own personal trainer working with him on his puppy-like behaviors, including how to greet and engage in play with people, walk on a leash and so much more!
CATS
Cat named Louie
Louie is your typical cat who is both independent and cuddly! He is about 7 years old. He loves to play and makes me laugh all the time. He has striking markings and has a beautiful purr. He’s friendly but likes to be friends on his own terms, like so many cats. He greets people and always runs to the door when someone knocks.

Hi, I’m Burnum. I am about 13 years old. As you can see from my photo I have the greatest chubby cheeks. I am a large and in charge guy, who also loves posing for the camera. The most important thing to know about me is that I can be described as being cool as a cucumber. I like to lounge around in the sun and be pet.
