Netflix Shows to Binge Watch If You Want Home Inspo

"Are you still watching?"

"YES, NETFLIX. I AM. I HAVEN'T MOVED FROM MY COUCH IN 4 HOURS."

Been there? Same.

BUT it's working out for the best because we're finding major inspo for home decor, organization, and overall experience for ourselves & our guests.

It's time to make your Pinterest boards come to life! Start with these shows:

TIDYING UP WITH MARIE KONDO

This is going to "spark joy" in you to de-clutter and organize your ENTIRE home. Marie Kondo helps families who have downsized, a widow who is ready to let go of her late-husband's items, parents with little kids, and so many more in different stages of their life who just need help getting out of the piles of clothes, toys, & junk.

One of our favorite lessons Marie Kondo taught us is to hold each item your sorting through in your hands, if it doesn't "spark joy" for you anymore, THANK IT for the time it did, then put it in the donate/throw away pile.

IT'S SO SIMPLE. BUT SO POWERFUL.

INSTANT HOTEL

You'll never look at your guest room the same way again...

Ten teams of two Australian homeowners compete for the title of BEST Instant Hotel. Each team opens their Instant Hotel (short-term rental) to their competition to stay overnight, and in the morning they rate their experience on a scale of 1-10 based on the house itself, the location & their experience, how well they slept, and the value of the price.

Like any reality show, there's drama, grudges, and a little bit of sabotage... but if you're not into that type of TV, try to push past it—there are tips in these episodes you're going to use in your guest room/area to make it an even better experience for your friends & family!

STAY HERE

Stay Here is a short-term rental renovation show—they take on homes that are money pits, in need of major upgrades & better marketing techniques, and transforms them into places people will... well... want to stay!

Now, you're probably not looking to rent out your house, and this show focuses on designing for the masses (because it's a short-term rental), but take note of the basics: how they arrange furniture, organize, and what areas of a room/house to highlight. Then, take those lessons and add your personal home-y touch!

FIX IT & FINISH IT

Do you have all these projects around your house you want to do and never get to? Or start and never finish? This show tackles specific rooms like the man cave, master bedroom, porch, garage, & more. If you're ready to take on a certain part of your house, watch this show!
