As a kid growing up in Chicago I loved listening to the amazing, entertaining radio personalities on Chicago radio and knew it’s what I wanted to do. Even though my parents encouraged me to have a “back up” plan just in case this radio thing didn’t work out, I am fortunate to have worked in radio since I was 18-years-old. Radio has taken me from Chicago, to Indiana, Virginia, Michigan, California and back to Indiana! And along the way I’ve been blessed to have my wife Julie and two great kids Evan and Olivia.

When I’m not on the radio, I love spending time with my family. My wife Julie does speaking in churches and retreats, my son Evan loves basketball and all sports (a love I share with him), and my daughter Olivia is an artist and crazy about animals – especially our dog Zack. We also love going to theme parks and riding roller coasters together! I have my Masters in Counseling and do so some work with a private practice, in addition to being active in my church. I’m also in a billion fantasy football leagues (if someone asks, I can’t say no – so please don’t ask me to be in one … my wife will thank you).

One of America’s unofficial past-times is complaining. Yes, at any given time we like to complain. Complaining can make us feel better about ourselves, but it definitely is not good for us. In fact, griping is not healthy for the people around you, either. One person compared...

The headline read: “Study Shows The More You Hang Out With Your Mom, The Longer She’ll Live.” That sounds like a mom guilt-trip ready to happen – “if you loved me, you’d come visit me – unless, of course, you want me to die?” The study really speaks to the danger of being alone...
