As a kid growing up in Chicago I loved listening to the amazing, entertaining radio personalities on Chicago radio and knew it’s what I wanted to do. Even though my parents encouraged me to have a “back up” plan just in case this radio thing didn’t work out, I am fortunate to have worked in radio since I was 18-years-old. Radio has taken me from Chicago, to Indiana, Virginia, Michigan, California and back to Indiana! And along the way I’ve been blessed to have my wife Julie and two great kids Evan and Olivia.

When I’m not on the radio, I love spending time with my family. My wife Julie does speaking , my son Evan loves basketball and all sports (a love I share with him), and my daughter Olivia is an artist and crazy about animals – especially our dog Zack. We also love going to theme parks and riding roller coasters together! I have my Masters in Counseling and do so some work with a private practice,. I’m also in a billion fantasy football leagues (if someone asks, I can’t say no – so please don’t ask me to be in one … my wife will thank you).

I overheard someone s ay out of exasperation – “Why can’t people just be nice?!” Great question, right? I mean we all love it if people were more nice. Maybe we just don’t always know how or we don’t even realize we are not being nice? So I went to the place where we usually go...

I read this today – “8 in 10 millennials believe they are not ‘good enough’.” There’s a feeling that they are not living up to expectations that people have for them. I know it can be almost trendy to bash on millennials, but I find this information as disturbing and sad. But...

It’s been said you can make more money, but you can’t make more time. Meaning, we all only have 24 hours- a-day – we can’t make it 25 hours in a day, unless you count the weekends when we "Fall Back.". In reality, we all need to create more margin in our days. Two recent studies...

We want what we want and we want it now, right? I was talking to someone today and they basically admitted that – I want it all and if I can have it now, that would be great. That’s pretty normal. We generally prefer instant gratification. I was thinking about that with myself...

You've probably heard the advice - "work smarter, not harder." Along those lines, I've recently read about an approach to your work day that could allow you to work less, but accomplish more! The idea is this - start your workday as early as you can, even if you are not a...

If you found yourself watching a scary horror movie recently, you may have noticed the characters respond one of two ways when encountering a scary person or situation - attack or run! When we are afraid or feel like we are in danger, we often go into fight-or-flight mode. It’s...

Well if you are 45 years old bad news – you are not having any fun. Yep, according to a new study life is the “least fun” at the age of 45. It was a finding in a bigger study that essentially shows we don’t have as much fun as we did when we were kids. In fact the study showed...
