As a kid growing up in Chicago I loved listening to the amazing, entertaining radio personalities on Chicago radio and knew it’s what I wanted to do. Even though my parents encouraged me to have a “back up” plan just in case this radio thing didn’t work out, I am fortunate to have worked in radio since I was 18-years-old. Radio has taken me from Chicago, to Indiana, Virginia, Michigan, California and back to Indiana! And along the way I’ve been blessed to have my wife Julie and two great kids Evan and Olivia.

When I’m not on the radio, I love spending time with my family. My wife Julie does speaking in churches and retreats, my son Evan loves basketball and all sports (a love I share with him), and my daughter Olivia is an artist and crazy about animals – especially our dog Zack. We also love going to theme parks and riding roller coasters together! I have my Masters in Counseling and do so some work with a private practice, in addition to being active in my church. I’m also in a billion fantasy football leagues (if someone asks, I can’t say no – so please don’t ask me to be in one … my wife will thank you).

Credit: Getty Images/Everste It was a sad day for many when the news broke that Tyler Trent had passed away. His funeral was earlier this week. Tyler, as most know, is the 20 year old Purdue superfan that lost his battle with a rare form of cancer. Tyler’s story was known in...

photo credit: Marizza/Getty Images It’s that time of year where we are thinking about New Year’s Resolutions … where we “resolve” to lose weight or we “resolve” to run a marathon. The word “resolve” has a couple of different definitions – one is to “decide firmly on a course of...

Photo Credit: Tabitazn / Getty Images It must be a subconscious reflex this time of year, but the other day I found myself beginning a sentence by saying, “‘Tis the season …” As I was saying that, it hit me that ‘Tis the season to say, “‘Tis the season.” I mean, I never found...
