As a kid growing up in Chicago I loved listening to the amazing, entertaining radio personalities on Chicago radio and knew it’s what I wanted to do. Even though my parents encouraged me to have a “back up” plan just in case this radio thing didn’t work out, I am fortunate to have worked in radio since I was 18-years-old. Radio has taken me from Chicago, to Indiana, Virginia, Michigan, California and back to Indiana! And along the way I’ve been blessed to have my wife Julie and two great kids Evan and Olivia.

When I’m not on the radio, I love spending time with my family. My wife Julie does speaking , my son Evan loves basketball and all sports (a love I share with him), and my daughter Olivia is an artist and crazy about animals – especially our dog Zack. We also love going to theme parks and riding roller coasters together! I have my Masters in Counseling and do so some work with a private practice,. I’m also in a billion fantasy football leagues (if someone asks, I can’t say no – so please don’t ask me to be in one … my wife will thank you).

You may have seen the news story and video over the last 24 hours. A woman is accused and sentenced for murdering a man. And the brother of the man asks the judge if he can hug the woman responsible. He then does something rarely seen – he forgives her. I think most of us would...

Someone shared with me today that when they start thinking of everything they have to do, they begin to feel overwhelmed and feel like breaking down. I think we all can relate to that – between work and life, we can often feel like there is so much to do and so little time to do...

We all get in bad moods from time to time, but let's face it - it can be uncomfortable when someone around you is having a bad day or in a bad mood. We often don't know what to say or we say maybe the wrong thing. So how can we help someone in a bad mood? I heard this great...

Does the thought going to a party where you don't know anybody energize you or freak you out? If you chose the latter, you are definitely an introvert. As an introvert myself I can tell you that a common misconception is that we want to be alone, but that is not true. While an...

Do you hate to be late? Do you struggle with being on time? Beyond the obvious problems that come from being, not being on time can send an intended message to others - that my time is more valuable than yours! Now since we don't want to convey that others, here are simple tips...

Years ago, David Letterman was lamenting to Dr. Phil about how Oprah must hate him, because she wouldn’t come on his show. Dr. Phil said it’s not a matter of her hating David Letterman – it’s just that he wasn’t on her radar. Dr. Phil said, “if you knew how little time Oprah...

Sad news out of the world of rock and roll with the passing of Eddie Money, who churned out huge hit songs in the 70's and 80's like "Two Tickets to Paradise," "Take Me Home Tonight" and "Baby Hold On," among others. Most recently, Money starred with his entire family on the...
