Listen Live

In a recent poll, people reported that as a result of being quarantined together, they hoped to get closer to family members and/or their significant other.

And while many are seeing this happen, others are not.  It serves as a reminder that we can be in close physical proximity, but not necessarily becoming closer to one another.

Whether we want to admit it or not, we all want intimacy.  And I’m not just talking physical intimacy.  I’m talking about the desire to close to others. To be known, understood and cared for.

Like any change we want to see, you have to be purposeful – it won’t just happen.

Closeness will happen when we intentionally look to connect.  These days, that could be mean going for a walk together.  Sitting down to play a game.  Doing a gift exchange – white elephant style, with things you find within the house.  These are just a few ideas.

Your challenge for today is – go beyond just living in the same home, but purposefully look to grow closer to one another.
