I read today that many parents are dealing with a level of anxiety related to having their kids doing school from home, in addition to possibly juggling working from home or finding childcare. If you are stressed on some level, you are not alone.

These can be anxious times and while it’s good to be honest with your kids about what is going on in the world, be mindful of not passing along your anxiety to them.

Kids often take their cues from their parents. Meaning, if you are stressed and panicked about the state of the world right now, they more than likely will be as well.  At the same time, if you relay a sense of calm – again, while being honest – your kids are more apt to do the same.  They’ll probably feel safer and more secure, which is never a bad thing.

There’s that old British motivational poster that said, “Keep Calm and Carry On” that my friend is your challenge today – to not only “Keep Calm and Carry on” but to pass it on to others.
