To worry is to be human.  But worry, never really helps us.  We sometimes think it can or we wear worry like a badge of honor.  Like if you didn’t worry about your kids or your parents, you would be a bad person.

I’m not talking about being detached or that you can’t be concerned.  But excessive worry – especially about things that haven’t happened or may never happen, isn’t good for us.

It’s possible you can relate to that though.  How often does your mind run wild with worst case scenarios?  How often do you get almost paralyzed with fear, because you start projecting what might happen – even if it’s nowhere on the radar?

Again, if you worry you are human – but we gain nothing by worrying.  In fact we lose a lot – we lose time, we lose sleep, we lose the opportunity to be present, because we are so fearful of what might happen in the future.

Someone said to me recently – You can either live in constant fear about what might happen.  Or you can live in peace till something actually does.  It’s your choice.

The point is – if something “bad” does happen in the future, it’s going to happen whether you worry about it or not.  So why waste time, energy and your personal well-being worry about it.  And it’s possible it may never happen, too.  Which makes worrying about it that much more of a waste of time.
