Listen Live

The “new normal” it’s a way we have described all the changes and adjustments we have to make in light of Covid-19. And we long for things to get back to “normal.”  Normal is what we know.  Normal is what we are used to.

But what if we stopped thinking about what we are experiencing now as the “new normal” and just saw it as “normal.”  Yes, what we are experiencing is different and unprecedented.   And because it’s different and it’s hard, it makes feel uncomfortable and unsettled. We don’t like the “new normal.”

But life is constantly about change and curveballs.  That is normal. You’ve made it through tough times before.  You’ve experienced loss, heartbreak and setbacks – all things that are not welcome or easy.  They, too make us feel uncomfortable and unsettled. But we also know they are a part of life – not a new normal, just normal.

These are difficult times, for sure, but our challenge today is to realize that you have overcome other challenges and difficult times … and that is also normal.
