Listen Live

In addition to hosting mornings on B105.7, I work in the afternoons as a therapist (click here to learn more) and on Tuesday mornings, I share a nugget or two you might be able to use to sort of “tune up” a relationship in your life.

Today, I’m inviting you to consider – what kind of influence are you having?

We influence those around us every day, sometimes without even realizing it.  Dr. Gary Chapman gives this example: If when you get home today, you ask your partner – how was your day, how can I help you tonight, and maybe you greet them with a kiss– you’ve just had a positive influence on them.  If you walk in grumpy, go straight to the fridge, and plop down with a drink to play on your phone – your influence is pretty negative.

In a healthy relationship, it needs to be part of your mission to have a positive influence on each other.  You have the power to influence those around you.  Your spouse, your kids, your friends, your co-workers, someone on social media – whoever it is, may we use our influence to make that interaction, that relationship, and ultimately the world… better.
