Tune Up Tuesday.  So, in addition to hosting mornings on B105.7, I work in the afternoon as a therapist at Evolve Therapy in Greenwood, IN.  On Tuesday mornings I share some nuggets I’ve learned with you that may wish to use to sort of “tune up” your relationship.

Today, what may be the best marriage advice I’ve ever received… here 3 days before my own wedding.  A wise friend of mine said, in romantic love we’re often looking for someone we have so much in common with…and while that can be important – instead of finding someone who you agree with on the most number of things, find someone with whom you disagree well.

In my work as a therapist I’ve come to believe that’s the cycle of relationships – rupture, repair… rupture, repair.  Finding a way to negotiate those ruptures and to repair them quickly and fully.  That’s it.  That’s the best advice!

I’m biased, of course… but I think going to see a relationship therapist can help you get some tools to help with, especially the repair part of that equation.
