This Moment Can Change Your Mundane Marriage

In addition to hosting mornings on B105.7, I work in the afternoons as a therapist (accepting new clients now at Evolve Therapy in Greenwood, Indiana).  On Tuesday mornings I share little nuggets you may be able to use to “tune up” your relationship.  I call it “Tune Up Tuesday!”

This morning: This part of your week can change your mundane marriage.

Pop quiz — What’s been the best moment of the last week for you?  Do you have an answer?  Would your spouse? If you can identify a “peak moment” of sorts, does it involve your spouse?

Consciously creating peak moments is important because it can give you both something to look forward to and it creates connection.  Making plans together can also break up the mundane, and it doesn’t have to be anything crazy.  Maybe you try takeout from a new place, maybe you put your phones away and watch a show together, or work on a project around the house together.  Being intentional about creating these moments of connection can bring more joy, aliveness, and intimacy to your relationship.
